Create a Collaboration Document

Collaborations in Canvas allows students to work on group projects by sharing and working on documents in realtime with multiple people. The Collaboration feature creates a Google Drive assest. Once the Assest is created, the instructor can assign any currently enrolled student access to the item. The Collaboration document can also be used effectively as sign-up sheet for group work or an interactive course document. Currently, our configuration of Canvas allows collaborations to be created with: Google Doc, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Drawings, Sites and Jamboard
