In support of USF’s commitment to implement sustainable practices on campus, and in accordance with initiatives from the Green Team, Environmental Safety, USF Recycles and Purchasing Services, the One Card Office is proud to be the first office at USF to achieve Green Office Level 4 Certification. Please see below for additional ways in which we're promoting sustainable practices in the workplace
Datacard Go Green Printer Ribbon
We use Datacard’s Go Green printer ribbon to print all of our cardstock. Not only are the biodegradable ribbon cores engineered with EcoPure additive, but Datacard’s Ribbon Saver feature helps eliminate waste by tracking ribbon consumption and notifying us when a ribbon needs to be replaced.
Bio-Card Cardstock
We print our badges and name tags on Color ID’s Bio-Card cardstock because the discarded Bio-Card breaks down faster than the other cards. In fact, it is estimated that the Bio-Card starts to biodegrade within nine months after being discarded in a fertile environment, including landfills, composts, rivers, waterways, the ocean and other environments where active organisms are present. Moreover, the Bio-Card has the same durable performance characteristics of standard PVC plastic cards.
Online ID Express
We offer Online ID Express to new students, faculty and staff members as a way for them to upload their photo and submit necessary forms electronically. Not only does Online ID Express significantly shorten the length of time that our patrons have to wait in line for their first USF One Card, but it also helps conserve resources and eliminate waste.
