No. USF is not able to sponsor a student visa for certificate students. Professional certificate courses are offered for Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Certificate courses are generally 7 weeks in length and are offered for CEUs (Continuing Education Units). Students are awarded a certificate upon completion, rather than an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Professional certificate courses are offered for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and do not appear on a transcript.

Unfortunately, USF does not issue a 1098-t for certificate courses. This course is offered for Continuing Education Credits and the university does not provide certificate students with 1098-T forms.

USF cannot enroll students from states where we do not have the required approvals. Additionally, our state authorizations will differ per program per state. Please reach out to Leslie Blakeman if you have applicants from outside of California.

USF cannot enroll international students from countries where we do not have the required approvals. Please reach out to Leslie Blakeman to determine if the country of origin has been approved.

Yes, non-USF instructors are hired via HR Options. Please contact Leslie Blakeman to initiate this process.

Current full-time and adjunct faculty are hired via Non-Teaching Assignment (NTA).

At 15 days prior to the start of the certificate course, target enrollment levels will be reviewed. If enrollments and open applications do not meet the targeted breakeven budget, the program will be canceled. Refunds will be issued as needed. Necessary reimbursements for administration of certificate program overhead will be issued.

Professional certificate courses are offered as Pass/Fail. Grades are entered at the end of the certificate by course instructors and a digital badge is issued. Students also receive a certificate of completion letter via Slate.

Yes. If your instructor loses access to MyUSF, Canvas, etc. please reach out to HR Options to confirm they have completed the required trainings
