Transcripts Frequently Asked Questions

Students can place an order via the National Student Clearinghouse.

Students who did not graduate from USF will need to request an official transcript.

Current students and graduates of USF may use their myUSF account to access their unofficial transcripts. If you are a graduate and do not have a MyUSF account, you may request access here. You may contact the Office of Alumni Engagement (alumni@usfca.edu) for the status of your account.

  • On the MyHub dashboard, select 'Self Service'. This will lead you to a new page where you can select the 'Order Transcript' button.

If you do not remember your Student ID number, you may enter your Social
Security Number in the space provided instead.

If you do not have a Social Security Number, please enter 000000000 and follow
instructions to proceed if USF cannot find record as listed above.

Course Descriptions may be found online. For descriptions 2016 and prior, please visit our Gleeson Library Catalogs. For descriptions from 2017 and beyond, please visit the Registrar Online Catalog.

If the email is not included, you may select “Not in List” at the bottom of the dropdown to enter in the specific email.

Alternatively, you may select “Employer or Other” when asked ‘Who are you sending your transcript to?’ to enter the email address.

If you have already edited your personal identifying information, please select “No” when asked to edit your information once more and select ‘Continue’ to
proceed with your order. This will prompt our team to conduct a manual search for your record to process.

In the event USF is unable to verify your identity, we will request additional verification information. If our request goes unanswered for more than 20 business days, your transcript order will be canceled.

Please contact the National Student Clearinghouse directly at 703-742-4200 or
service@studentclearinghouse.org.

Your official transcript will display the total number of units transferred to the
university. Your individual courses will not be listed. You will need to reach out to
the original institution for official transcripts of those courses.

Following graduation, degrees take 4-6 weeks to post. If you have already
graduated, please choose to send your transcript “Current Transcript - Process
As Is”. Questions regarding your degree may be directed to the Graduation
Center at GradCenter@usfca.edu.

No, your official transcript will be inclusive of all courses and levels of your
attendance at USF. We do not separate your transcripts.

Orders are typically processed within 3 business days. Processing times are
longer for students who attended prior to 1982 and due to printing and/or
technical difficulties.

Due to the automated order process, once an order is received, it cannot be
canceled.

If needed, you have 30 days to resend a PDF after it was sent using the
transcript order tracking website. After entering in your order number and email,
you may resend the PDF transcript link. This resend option can be performed up
to 3 times per order (only once within the same browser session). The emails will
be sent within 30 minutes of selection.

The most common reason for a blank PDF is a browser or Adobe version error.
Please review the troubleshooting guide for blank PDF's to resolve this issue.

To have your transcript notarized or apostilled, students must make
arrangements with a notary (at your own expense) to come to the Office of the
University Registrar with your transcript during normal business hours. We
recommend SF Notary + Apostille (415) 655-9455 or sfnotary.com.
