Dear Members of the USF Community,
We invite you to join us to honor the life and legacy of Pope Francis at a Mass of Resurrection at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25, in St. Ignatius Church.
USF, as part of the Jesuit community of San Francisco, will gather to pray for Pope Francis — the first Jesuit pope — with the other Jesuit ministries in San Francisco, St. Agnes Parish, St. Ignatius Parish, St. Ignatius College Preparatory, and the Ignatian Spiritual Life Center.
The funeral for Pope Francis is Saturday, April 26, in Rome.
The Rev. Patrick Lee, S.J., rector of the San Francisco Jesuit community will preside at the Mass in St. Ignatius, and Rev. John P. Fitzgibbons, S.J., interim president and chief mission officer, will offer the homily.
We hope you will join us as we gather to pray and commend Pope Francis to the loving mercy of God.
