- Critical Diversity Studies Major
The CDS major is an interdisciplinary program of study that explores diversity in the United States, addresses the complex histories of our nation, and imagines solutions for the challenges we face. The CDS Major engages students in critical analyses of the social and historical construction of race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexualities, citizenship, and other social categories and to explore intersectionality and hybridities within and across these social categories as they constitute historical and contemporary U.S. culture as well as U.S.’s relationships with other countries.
The major is comprised of 5 concentrations:
