The pantry is open to all enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at the University.
Students: You will need your USF ID so you are able to enter the library. If you do not have a USF ID, simply check in at the front desk with your CWID and name.
You will also need to download the USF Mobile app for check-in. For more information on how to download the app, please visit the USFMobile App page.
No, you can use the pantry on the dates and times it is open and operating without scheduling an appointment. Additionally, you do not need to prove income or financial status to utilize the pantry.
The pantry is located on the lower level of Gleeson Library in room G04. Room G04 is around the corner from the University’s Learning and Writing Center. There will also be signs directing you to the location once you enter Gleeson Library.
When you arrive at the pantry you will be provided a reusable shopping bag that we ask you to bring back with you if you use the pantry again. Each item in the pantry will have a point value. You are able to take whatever you want in the pantry up to 15 points.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide produce. We are limited to only non-perishable items. We are looking for ways to partner with outside organizations to offer produce options for students who may need the assistance of the food pantry.
A low-cost option is Imperfect Produce:
“Imperfect delivers produce to your door for 30-50% less than the grocery store. We do this by sourcing ‘ugly’ fruits and vegetables that usually go to waste on farms. These fruits and veggies taste the exact same on the inside but look a little "wonky" on the outside. Customers can select the box size and frequency that suits their lifestyle. Food from the USF pantry is intended to serve as a short-term solution. In the quick links section, you will see more long-term resources listed by county. If you are interested in having a conversation to see if you are eligible for CalFresh, or to obtain assistance in connecting with other community resources, undergraduate students can contact Associate Director of Case Management, Dr. Kerry Burns, at email@example.com. In the Get Support section you will find resources listed by county. This is the quickest and most efficient way to address your immediate needs when the pantry is not open and accessible.
