Run Wild San(ta) Francisco 2014

Congratulations to all who participated in the Run Wild San(ta) Francisco 5k race on Sunday, November 30 at Crissy Field!

All registrants received a Santa Hat to decorate and wear on the day of the race. On November 18, GoUSF hosted a hat decorating party to get people excited for the race and inspire everyone’s creativity for a chance to win a prize for the most decorated hat.

Despite the rainy weather, 110 faculty, staff and/or family members gathered together to participate in the race, whose proceeds benefit the San Francisco Fire Fighter’s Toy Program. On race day, everyone met beforehand at the GoUSF booth to enjoy water and snacks and take group pictures. Suzy Kisylia, the GoUSF Wellness Program Manager, and even a couple family members of USF staff led all racers in a warm-up!

Several GoUSFers placed in their age group and won a pair of shoes, a gift card to Sports Basement, desserts for a week, and medals. Also, everyone enjoyed 15% off of their entire purchases post-race at Sports Basement Presidio, who donated 5% of all purchases to the program.  The raffle winner for completing the race survey was ________ from _________.  _______is the proud new owner of a FitBit Flex ($100 value).

Thank you to everyone for making the most out of the rainy weather and still having fun on race day!
