Kaiser Permanente Member Alert

Beginning Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 a.m. through Sunday, October 19 at 7:00 a.m. some Kaiser Permanente unions representing Kaiser Permanente's employees will be on strike.

Kaiser hospitals and emergency departments will remain open

Kaiser facilities will continue to be staffed by their physicians and staff.  They will bring in licensed and qualified contract staff as needed. 

Possible appointment changes 

Kaiser is contacting impacted members directly – by text, phone call or kp.org email. Kaiser members who are seeking information about the impacts to care can find up to date information on kp.org

Pharmacy changes

In Northern California, Kaiser pharmacies will be open and operating on their normal schedules. You can go to any open Kaiser pharmacy. You can find the nearest pharmacy by visiting kp.org.

In Southern California, some Kaiser pharmacies will be closed in the event of a strike. You should visit kp.org to find the closest open pharmacy. 

Kaiser mail order delivery service also will be available to open new nonurgent and refill prescriptions.

Kaiser may experience high call volumes resulting in longer than usual wait times. For ongoing updates on the strike, please visit kp.org/strike.
