New Employee Orientations and University Welcome
Human Resources conducts orientation sessions to help new faculty and staff get connected to the community and processes at USF. We recommend attending orientation during your first week so that you have the information required to complete benefits enrollment within your first 30 days.
NOTE: Faculty orientations only take place in August every year prior to the start of the new academic year. If you are a new full-time faculty member who has been hired after the start of the academic year, please sign up for the staff orientation.
Employment and Benefits Orientation
Employment orientation introduces new employees to important university policies, programs, and websites. New employees will learn about the forms and processes that they need to complete within the first few days and weeks of their employment. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
The benefits orientation provides benefits-eligible faculty and staff with an overview of all benefits options available at the university. The benefits orientation has been designed to ensure new faculty and staff have enough information to make informed decisions about the coverage they need. You must enroll for your benefits within 30 days of your hire date. Please contact the Benefits Team at email@example.com if you have any questions.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE UNIVERSITY WELCOME HAS BEEN PAUSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO COVID-19
Human Resources hosts a quarterly university welcome session to introduce new staff to USF. You'll network with fellow new staff members, hear from USF President Paul Fitzgerald, SJ, and learn more about USF's vision, mission, values, and history. The session also includes information from Public Safety, Marketing Communications, the GoUSF wellness program, University Ministry, Diversity Engagement and Community Outreach, and the OPE Union (if applicable).
