Please register for each session you plan on attending. All are invited to join any of the sessions, but suggested ages are included in the descriptions of each session.

9-9:30am Welcome Kick the day off right with our inspirational welcome led by the ever-energetic and motivating Frank Allocco. All ages welcome. Register»
9:30-10am Kinesiology: Moving our Bodies Enjoy an active story time about visiting the beach while learning about how our bodies move. Led by professors Dr. Sarah Camhi and Dr. Christian Thompson. Recommended for ages (6-10 years; 1st-5th graders) but anyone is welcome. Register»
10-10:30am SPCA Meet Lilou The Therapy Pig The San Francisco SPCA Animal Assisted Therapy program operates programs that facilitate communication, healing, and motivation by sharing the love of companion animals. Bring your pet or stuffed animal to share. All ages welcome. Register»
10:30-11am Koret Action Avatar a.m. Become an action avatar with Coach Maggie's drills to improve balance, coordination, agility, speed, power and reaction time. Looking for family fun and a few laughs? We end with a fun game where adults can join in! Special guest Coach An brings a super fun surprise to test your new skills. Recommended for 8 and under but all are welcome. Register»
11-11:30am Gleeson's Create a Zine Students will be creating their very own one page zine based on a favorite book. Decorate with a picture, collage or photo. Suggested materials can be found here, including ordering a zine kit for free. Recommended for ages 2 and up. Register»
11:30am-12pm Cooking Lesson with our Bon Appetit Chef Grab your spatula, a few cooking supplies and get ready to create a yummy lunch and learn a few cooking tips along the way. Ingredients and supplies can be found here. Only will be making the fruit kabobs in this session. Recommended for ages 2 and up. Register»
1-1:30pm Thacher Gallery Postcard Art Using basic drawing materials, participants will create a postcard depicting a view from their window. The postcards can be sent to someone they've missed during the pandemic. Suggested materials can be found here. Recommended for ages 2 and up. Register»
1:30-2pm Money Wise
"A penny saved is a penny earned." Benjamin Franklin This interactive session led by Dennis Miller will cover ideas and strategies to save money. Please complete worksheet prior to session. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

*We are collecting short videos, photos, pictures to create a YMAW wall on padlet and video for our welcome session. Ideas include:

  • A short video of your child/ren's response to the the following question: "What does your parent do at work?"
  • Photos from this past year while working/schooling at home.
  • Pictures that your student has drawn and would like to share.
  • Anything and everything that you may have find inspiring this year.

Send the video and image release to gousf@usfca.edu or post on our YMAW padlet. A compilation video will be created and shown at the YMAW welcome.
