Orientations and Welcome

Human Resources conducts orientation sessions to help new faculty and staff get connected to the community and processes at USF. We recommend attending orientation during your first week so that you have the information required to submit benefits enrollment paperwork within your first 30 days.

Employment and Benefits Orientation

Employment orientation introduces new staff to important university policies, programs, and websites. New staff will learn about the forms and processes that they need to complete within the first few days and weeks of their employment. Please contact humanresources@usfca.edu if you have any questions.

Benefits orientation provides benefits-eligible faculty and staff with an overview of all benefits options available at the university. The benefits orientation has been designed to ensure new faculty and staff have enough information to make informed decisions about the coverage they need. You must enroll for your benefits within 30 days of your hire date. Please contact the Benefits Team at benefits@usfca.edu if you have any questions.

University Welcome

Human Resources hosts a quarterly university welcome session to introduce new staff to USF. You'll network with fellow new staff members, hear from USF President Paul Fitzgerald, SJ, and learn more about USF's vision, mission, values, and history. The session also includes information from Public Safety, Marketing Communications, the GoUSF wellness program, University Ministry, Diversity Engagement and Community Outreach, and the OPE Union (if applicable). All upcoming sessions in 2017 will take place from 9-11:30 a.m.:

  • Thursday, Sept. 7: Fromm Hall 115 (Berman Room)
  • Thursday, Dec. 14: Lone Mountain Main 100 (Handlery Room)
