Completion of General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry courses at USF with a grade of A- or higher

Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
-
Earn a term GPA of 3.0 or higher each semester

Maintain full-time enrollment at USF (12 credits or above)

Enroll in INTD 057: PLTL Leadership Training (1 credit hour). Course meets Mondays from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Lead one section of PLTL Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Earn $19.25/hr. Leaders receive payment for two hours of workshop facilitation, and one hour of workshop planning. Leaders earn one elective credit for their participation in INTD 057.
PLTL Leader Responsibilities

Prepare/Conduct PLTL sessions

Attend the PLTL Training Course

Develop student academic skills/strategies

Consult students on chemistry problems

Work with small groups
-
Participate in Learning Center Events (encouraged)

Be a model student
-
Keep records of sessions
-
Prepare engaging activities for each session
-
Seek formal/informal feedback from students

Do not give answers to questions (guide, do not teach)
