Workshops & Trainings
REPS is providing workshops and trainings for any student, faculty, or staff on campus. This connects to one of our five main goals
EDUCATION: Students, staff and faculty are educated annually on sexual violence prevention and grow their cumulative knowledge and mastery of bystander intervention during their time at USF.
Our Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Sexual Violence Resource Advocate, Title IX Coordinator and other campus partners have come together to offer a large menu of options from Party Hosting, to Bystander Intervention, to Changing Sexual Culture. We are excited and energized by the students we get to work with. Click through to see a few of the different workshops we have happening already.
If you want to schedule something for you and your team, group, roommates, friends, department, office, colleagues etc. head to our form on the sidebar that says- Request a Workshop or Training.
Talk About it: Everyday Consent, Recognizing and Responding to Disrespect
In a one hour, large scale presentation students will start the important conversation of fostering a supportive, healthy & safe USF community. In this session and small group scenario work with GO team leaders and RAs, students will be engaging in discussions around consent, sexual assault prevention, healthy relationships, and active bystander behavior. Building a campus grounded in respect is a community project that every Don has a part in.
Learning Outcomes
- Students will gain knowledge of campus resources to support them around issues of sexual and intimate partner violence, and healthy relationships.
- Students will describe and discuss positive relationship behaviors and characteristics.
- Students will recognize signs of agreement and refusal in social, romantic, or sexual situations and identify elements of consent related to sexual activity.
- Students will practice and utilize the concept of bystander intervention behaviors by recognizing and responding to disrespect.

Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training: Community Values and Accountability
(90 minutes- team only)
To prevent sexual misconduct, and to respond well when it does occur, we need strong, inclusive, supportive communities. Athletic teams are huge sources of community for student-athletes. This training offers groups a chance for purposeful reflection, exploring their internal community dynamics and explicitly articulating their shared values and goals. By meeting with SAAC representatives and team leaders or Captains in advance, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator works with student-athletes to identify specific issues the group would like to address and customize the training accordingly.
The specific training covers the following areas:
- Students will gain knowledge of campus resources to support them around issues of sexual and intimate partner violence, and healthy relationships.
- Students will describe and discuss positive relationship behaviors and characteristics.
- Students will recognize signs of agreement and refusal in social, romantic, or sexual situations and identify elements of consent related to sexual activity.
- Students will practice and utilize the concept of bystander intervention behaviors, especially in team based setting
- The team will be able to take a larger role in addressing USF’s ongoing struggles with sexual misconduct. Teams and athletes are powerful players in creating change.
