Resident Minister, Immersions

Hi! I’m Oszkar, I graduated from the MS in Environmental Management program at USF this May 2025. Originally from Uganda, I’m passionate about making a positive impact, whether in the environment or in people’s lives. Back home, I founded Cloud-9 Youth Edutainment Centre, empowering over 500 youth through peer education, employment, and helping them discover and nurture their talents in music and sports. I’ve also led community-driven environmental initiatives focused on sustainability and tackling local challenges.

With a background in Industrial Chemistry from Makerere University in Uganda, I’ve worked on projects ranging from youth empowerment, water conservation to pollution mitigation, with a strong focus on climate resilience in marginalized communities.

I enjoy creative writing, walks in nature, yoga, travel, and listening to music. I often tell people changing the world is in the little things too, like holding doors, serving smiles, showing up for others, offering your seat to strangers on the bus and bringing good vibes to the table. Currently serving smiles and bringing good vibes in the RM/UM spaces.

Hello! My name is Angélica but feel free to call me Angie! I was born and raised here in the lovely San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley. I recently graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelors degree in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Political Science. I also previously graduated from De Anza College with an Associates in English & certificate in Humanities as a part of the Humanities Mellon Scholars program (that also exists here at USF)! I am now currently pursuing a Master’s in Migration Studies here at USF. I also have experience in ministry at my local parish, having founded and led the Youth Group/ Ministry for the past 8 years! I'm thrilled to be a new RM on the University Ministry Team. I am very eager to begin exploring opportunities to support and walk alongside the USF community as you all find your way through campus and begin living an active life to serve others!
