Simon Flores has over twenty years of designing, leading, and deploying projects and initiatives across government, private sector, and non-profits. His policy and program areas include ethics, higher education admissions, leadership, learning and development, college access, and workforce development. He has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of San Francisco, and a master’s degree in Leadership from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California and is pursuing the Doctor of Education in Organization, Leadership, and Educational Technology at the University of San Francisco.
Simon is a promoter of social justice and opportunity through education and is a committed advocate for the formation of character, values, meaning, and purpose in the lives of today's youth.
He does this by creating and leading college access to higher education, retention, and persistence to graduation initiatives for BIPOC students and by designing and delivering conferences, workshops, and seminars for adult learners. In his career, he has managed and executed global online leadership conferences for the University of Southern California, created the first online ethics education program for the City of Los Angeles, and produced radio, television, and podcast programs focusing on education policy and ethics in government. Simon is co-author of Developing a Strategic Plan for Homelessness: A Framework to Address the Critical Issues and Challenges for the Los Angeles Police Department 2018-2022.
