Dear Members of the USF Community,
We are passing the 40th day since major earthquakes rocked Turkey and Syria. The devastation was immense, the rescue of survivors under collapsed structures was heroic, and the initial outpouring of prayers and practical help was heartening. Here on campus, a group of faculty, staff, and students with familial and spiritual roots in the region came together to cry, to support one another, to pray for the dead, and to invite the larger USF community to be in solidarity with the survivors.
The group has also prepared a comprehensive online resource with helpful material to encourage discussions in and beyond your classrooms. It also includes information on ways for you to help.
