This workshop is for F-1 international students who will be applying for Optional Practical Training (OPT) within the next 12 months. Attendance at one OPT workshop is a prerequisite for applying for OPT. There is no cost for this workshop. Register for the workshop at the top of the page.

We offer tax workshops to help you understand your U.S. tax filing requirements for non-residents. All international students are required to submit taxes. Attend this workshop to get more information about the process of applying for taxes and about the USF purchased tax software, Sprintax, that you will have access to.

Tax Workshop Video
Join ISSS and Career Services Center to learn about specific job resources available for international students and cultural differences and expectations in the U.S. job market today. In addition, you will hear from a panelist of USF international alumni who have successfully found employment in the United States. This panel of former USF international students will discuss their experiences searching for jobs in the U.S., what employers are looking for in job candidates, and their strategies for H1-B sponsorship. They will also answer questions from the audience. You will have the opportunity to mingle and network with the panel speakers over tea and desserts. Do you learn about their options to remain in the U.S. after you complete your program of studies? An immigration attorney will present information on employment options for F-1 students after the completion of their studies. Information will focus on the H-1B Work Visa, but information on the TN NAFTA, L-1 Multinational Organization and P-1 Athlete or Entertainer visas will be shared.
