2025-26 FAFSA and ca dream act application update

We'd like to share some updates regarding the availability of the 2025-26 FAFSA and CA Dream Act. This application is required to apply for financial aid for the fall 2025, spring 2026, and summer 2026 semesters. Starting October 1st, the FAFSA is open to a small group of people invited to test it early. This helps Federal Student Aid (FSA) fix any problems before everyone can use it. The 2025-26 FAFSA and CA Dream Act are expected to be available and ready for all students by December 1, 2024. Be sure to check your email and our website for updates and tips on how to get ready and fill out your application.

2024-25 FAFSA corrections Open

The Department of Education has announced that students and their contributors can now make corrections to their 2024-2025 FAFSA. This includes the ability to add a school, sign the FAFSA, provide consent and approval to transfer IRS data, and more. For additional information on how to make a FAFSA correction, please review the "How To Correct or Update Your FAFSA Form" guide. Please allow USF about 3-5 business days to receive your FAFSA correction or update. If you encounter any issues, please refer to the FAFSA Issue Alerts or contact our office. In some cases, you may need to contact Federal Student Aid (FSA) support.

2024-2025 FAFSA and CA Dream Act Applications Now Available!

The 2024-2025 FAFSA and CA Dream Act are now available to complete. The Department of Education recently announced that school's will not be receiving student FAFSAs until mid-March. The FAFSA Simplification Act is bringing significant changes and overhaul to the processes and systems to award federal student aid. We encourage you to regularly check our website for the most up-to-date information regarding FAFSA and CA Dream Act release, deadlines, and any other relevant details.

Fall 2024 Semester Enrollment Lock
Financial aid awarded are disbursed based on your enrollment as of enrollment lock date and awards will not be adjusted for any enrollment status changes after this date. If there are extenuating circumstances that may have delayed enrollment, you may file an Enrollment Adjustment Appeal.
