Summer 2026 financial aid

Are you planning to enroll in summer classes and utilize financial aid? Financial aid funds for summer are typically limited for most students. Summer financial aid offers will begin to release by March 20. Once you are enrolled in your summer courses, the Financial Aid Office will assess your eligibility within 1-2 weeks. Your financial aid package will be available through your myUSF Self-Service portal, where you can review and either accept or decline the aid offered. If you would like to discuss your financial aid eligibility prior to registering for the summer term, we encourage you to contact the Financial Aid Office to speak with a counselor.

Congratulations on your admission to USF for the 2026-2027 academic year!  We are excited  to welcome you as a future Don.

If you applied for financial aid, your financial aid offer letter will be available through your Dons Status Page and your myUSF Student Self-Service portal within 1-2 weeks. The letter will also be sent by mail to your home shortly after.

If you have not yet applied for financial aid by completing a 2026-2027 FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application, it’s not too late. We will continue reviewing applications and releasing financial aid offer letters on a weekly basis. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office.

2026-27 FAFSA and CADAA are now available!

We're excited to share that the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) are now available for all students and their families to complete. This application is required to apply for or renew your financial aid for the upcoming fall 2026, spring 2027, and summer 2027 semesters. Renewal of the FAFSA or CADAA is also required for University aid and the Global Award. To assist you, we’ve created a step-by-step PDF guide that explains how to complete the FAFSA form, identify your contributor(s), and address other key topics. January 2

Spring 2026 Semester Payment Due Date

Review your billing statement on your myUSF View & Pay to ensure all pending financial aid credits are posted to your account, such as your grants, scholarships, and loans. If your financial aid credits fully covers your fall balance due, no payment is required. If there is a remaining balance, you can satisfy that by making a payment, enrolling into a semester payment plan, or applying for additional financial aid.  
January 16

Spring 2026 Disbursement Date

Spring semester financial aid disbursement begins (except for Law students). Please allow 2-3 weeks for any refund credits to process depending on your refund selection (direct deposit or paper check). Learn more about disbursements and instructions to set up direct deposit.
February 14

Spring 2026 Semester Enrollment Lock

Financial aid awarded is disbursed based on your enrollment as of enrollment lock date and awards will not be adjusted for any enrollment status changes after this date. If there are extenuating circumstances that may have delayed enrollment, you may file an Enrollment Adjustment Appeal.
March 2

Cal Grant Priority Deadline

Submit your 2026-2027 FAFSA or CADAA and GPA verification by the priority deadline to be considered for state aid. Learn more about the Cal Grant program
April 25

SAP Appeal Deadline- Spring 2026

Last day to submit a SAP appeal to be considered for spring 2026 financial aid. Learn More
