About Us
Mission Statement
The University of San Francisco is committed to the full participation of all students. Student Disability Services (SDS) recognizes disability as a valued aspect of diversity and works to facilitate equal access and an inclusive environment for students with disabilities.
Vision and Values
- Guided by Universal Design we suggest accommodations for USF students with disabilities to help achieve their goals.
- We strive to empower the community to acquire and develop the knowledge, skills, values, and sensitivity to become persons for and with others.
Black Lives Matter
SDS condemns the murders of Rayshard Brooks, George Floyd, Ahmad Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the many, many, other racial injustices that have shaken the country. We center Black Lives in our work, acknowledge the reality of systemic racism, and are committed to addressing it through peaceful protest, community engagement, and education. We acknowledge and support ending police violence, especially towards unarmed Black people - many of whom have disabilities, and reaffirm our commitment to elevating diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of our lives.
