In Memoriam: Scott Moules

Scott Moules standing next to a christmas treeWith deep sadness, we share the unexpected passing of Scott Moules, Assistant Director at the Fromm Institute. Scott was a treasured member of the Fromm Institute for Lifelong Learning and University of San Francisco communities. Scott’s warm presence, generous heart, and unshakeable determination left an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Scott became part of the Fromm Institute in 1997 when he was hired by our Founder, Hanna Fromm, and dedicated over 27 years to fostering a vibrant and welcoming environment for lifelong learning. His dedication, humor, and compassion enriched the lives of countless Frommies, colleagues, and friends, making him an integral part of our community.

Scott recently mourned the passing of his sister, Deborah, in December. He is survived by his loving partner, Angelo Severino. Plans are underway for a public memorial to celebrate Scott’s life and contributions, which will take place at Fromm Hall in the coming months. Details will be shared in due course, and all who were touched by Scott’s life are invited to join in honoring him.

Scott will be remembered not only for his years of service but also for the joy, laughter, and care he brought to our lives. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain a guiding light within our community.

Condolences can be sent to the Fromm Community generally or to Scott’s partner, Angelo Severino, personally through the Fromm Institute office in Fromm Hall (FR102). Gifts in memory of Scott can be made to The Fromm Institute through USF Development – we will be sure to notify Angelo with a list of donors who made contributions in memory of Scott.
