Lent 2025

USF Lenten Resources

As we enter the season of Lent, we are invited into a time of deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewal. Lent is a journey, a climb toward a deeper relationship with God, rooted in love, forgiveness, and transformation. It is a season of letting go, making space in our hearts for grace, and remembering the ultimate sacrifice of Christ. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we are called to turn away from distractions and refocus on what truly matters.

During this Lenten season, UM invites you to grow in your faith and spirituality with the following opportunities:

ASH WEDNESDAY

If you wish, stop by University Ministry on March 5 to receive ashes on your forehead for Ash Wednesday. Donal Godfrey, S.J., will be offering ashes from 10–11:45 a.m., and other UM staff will be available throughout the day to offer ashes as well.
