As we welcome our newest students and their families, we’d like to remind you that USF’s Move-In Day festivities occur on a weekday. In preparation for this day and the following Welcome Weekend, we're providing you with some important parking and traffic information to ensure a smooth and joyful experience for all.
Move-In Day festivities will take place throughout the day on Wednesday, Aug. 19. With the heavy foot traffic expected on campus this year, we ask all to consider alternative methods of traveling to work this Wednesday if you need to be on campus. We encourage carpooling with colleagues, taking public transportation, and/or parking in the Lone Mountain East Garages and upper campus lots to support the heavy load.
Additionally, please be mindful of the various street and parking lot signs posted around campus. A number of parking lot closures and city street no-parking zones will be in effect from Wednesday, Aug. 19, to Saturday, Aug. 22, for USF's Move-In Day and Welcome Weekend. The most impactful dates are listed below.
Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 2 a.m.–7 p.m.
City No-Parking Zones:
- Parker Avenue (east and west sides of Parker Avenue from Fulton Street to Golden Gate Avenue, 503 to 799 Parker Ave., as well as west side of Parker from Golden Gate Avenue to Fulton Street)
- Golden Gate Avenue (north and south sides of Golden Gate Avenue from Parker Avenue to Tamalpais Terrace, 2257 to 2595 Golden Gate Ave.)
- Fulton Street (north side of Fulton Street from Clayton Street to Parker Avenue, 1982 to 2198 Fulton St.)
USF Parking Lot Closures:
- Koret Upper Lot
- XArts/ADA Lot
- Gleeson East & West Lots
- UC Lot
- Hayes-Healy Garage
- Malloy Pavilion Lot (Formerly Memorial Gym Top Lot)
USF Open Parking Lots:

Saturday, Aug. 22, from 7 a.m.–4 p.m.
City No-Parking Zones:
- Golden Gate Avenue (south side of Golden Gate Avenue, in front of Memorial Gym, including the motorcycle stalls, 2335 to 2401 Golden Gate Ave.)
- Anza Street (south side of Anza Street in front of Loyola Village, 305 to 341 Anza St.)
- Turk Street (North Side of Turk Street), directly in front of 2340 Turk St. (Nano Nagle Hall)
USF Parking Lot Closures:
- Lone Mountain Fee Lot
- Lone Mountain Entrance Ramp (West Side, Ascending Ramp)
- Lone Mountain Exit Ramp (East Side, Descending Ramp)
- Lone Mountain East (LME) Building 1 Lot
- Lone Mountain East (LME) Building 2 Lot
- University Center Lot
Signs will be posted at the entrances of each of these lots with the dates and times of the closures. Do not park your vehicle at these locations during the stated dates and times, or your vehicle will be cited and towed at your expense by San Francisco's Department of Parking and Traffic or USF Public Safety.
