2023 Go Move Challenge: Week One Recap

Happy 11th Anniversary to the Go Move Challenge. We are several days into the challenge and the competition is steep even with the weather challenges, primarily in the east coast. The numbers continue to be impressive and are ever changing: over 3130 faculty and staff from 22 participating Jesuit Institutions, including our AJCU National Office staff, have accumulated more than 184,000 minutes of activity!
The ones to beat: Santa Clara, Creighton, Loyola Marymount once again prove to be the teams to beat for total number of minutes!
Making a splash: Great to see other institutions making their way up to the rankings. Saint Louis University*, USF, Saint Joseph's, Fairfield and Loyola University Chicago*.
Top average number of minutes per person: Georgetown, Saint Peter's, LMU, and Regis are currently in the lead for average number of minutes per person.
Teams, Teams, Teams: Santa Clara has 47 teams, Loyola Marymount University has 41 teams, USF has 20 teams, and Le Moyne College has 12 teams. The team component has adds a layer of camaraderie to the challenge, helping team members motivate each other to move more and encouraging each other to remember to track their minutes.

The leader board is ever changing, so visit the Go Move Challenge website to see the most current standings! To date, the universities with the most average number of minutes by region are:
- East Coast: Georgetown University*
- Midwest: Regis University*
- West Coast: Loyola Marymount University
- South: Xavier University
