AGSUSF Event Funding allows GSOs the resources to host signature on-campus graduate student events.
The total 2026–27 AGSUSF Event Funding budget is $30,000.
Eligibility
Any graduate student organization registered with Student Leadership and Engagement or the School of Law.
Award Limits
Registered graduate student organizations may apply for up to a total of $2,000 per academic year. Funding per student organization per year shall not exceed this amount. Funding is on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved or allocated in advance.
Application
Application Deadline
All applications shall be submitted to the Finance Committee at least six (6) academic weeks prior to the date of the proposed event.
Application Review
The Finance Committee will deliberate on all applications, which shall include a detailed budget, event details (date, time, confirmed location), and a detailed description of the intent of the event.
Funding may be approved for events taking place the following academic year. No retroactive requests for access to this funding will be considered.

In the past, the finance committee has awarded registered student organizations Event funding for panel and speaker events, graduate student bonding, meet & greet events, and networking events. The finance committee does not award Event funding for end-of-year events or events held off-campus.
AGSUSF Event funding is meant to cover costs associated with signature graduate student organization events such as speaker and entertainment fees, raffle prizes, decorations and supplies, food and catering costs. Alcohol is funded on a case-by-case basis.
Gift cards, except for those purchased at the USF bookstore, will not be funded. Additionally, all items for the Event should be purchased by a professional staff member from SLE—the only exception being a staff member from the School of Law. Reimbursements are rarely accepted.

Your organization must be a registered student organization through Student Leadership and Engagement or the School of Law. Additionally, the event must be an on-campus event, and a representative from your organization must present to the finance committee at their biweekly meeting when requested. All applications must be submitted to the Finance Committee at least six (6) academic weeks prior to the date of the proposed event.
A registered organization can apply for up to $2000 for the academic year. Funding cannot be reserved in advance, and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
You must reach out to the staff member mentioned on your award letter within one academic week of receiving your award letter. Your organization may not purchase anything before meeting with them.
The finance committee meets on a bi-weekly basis throughout the academic year. The finance committee does not meet during holidays or school breaks.
An organization may apply multiple times as long as the total is not exceeding $2000 per academic year.
The University does not permit any student or student organization to participate in international travel because the level of resources needed to manage them is beyond the scope of a recognized student organization.
