Understand Your AGSUSF Student Activity Fee

The AGSUSF Student Activity Fee ($40 per semester) allows for providing graduate student activities, services, programs, and initiatives.

AGSUSF Student Activity Fee 

The AGSUSF Student Activity Fee is a fee paid by every AGSUSF member each semester. AGSUSF means any graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Law, School of Management, or School of Nursing and Health Professions. Full-time graduate students from other USF campuses (i.e., downtown campus, Orange County campus, etc.) may also apply!

AGSUSF Operating Budget

The AGSUSF Student Activity Fee is disbursed to provide increased activities, opportunities, and services for graduate students and graduate student organizations with the goal to advance graduate student engagement at USF. The annual AGSUSF operating budget is overseen and allocated by the GSS Finance Committee and approved by the GSS.

GSS Finance Committee

The GSS Finance Committee is a committee of graduate students that ensures the fiscal responsibility of the GSS while reviewing and maintaining the budget, allocation of funding, and development of policies around funding applications. The GSS Finance Committee is chaired by the GSS Vice President of Treasury. Any currently enrolled graduate student is eligible to serve on the GSS Finance Committee.

 

Services of AGSUSF

AGSUSF Professional Development Funding

AGSUSF Professional Development Funding (previously referred to as Conference and Certification Funding) is a source of funds available to all AGSUSF graduate students to access resources to support attendance at professional conferences and pursue professional certifications relevant to goals and coursework. The total amount allocated to AGSUSF Conference Funding for 2026–27 is $20,000.

AGSUSF Development Funding

AGSUSF Development Funding is a source of funds available to graduate student organizations to access resources to advance their organization. The total amount allocated to AGSUSF Development Funding for 2026–27 is $5,000.

AGSUSF Event Funding

AGSUSF Event Funding is a source of funds available to graduate student organizations to hold signature events on campus for graduate students. The total amount allocated to AGSUSF Event Funding for 2026–27 is $30,000.

AGSUSF Support Services

AGSUSF Support Services is the resources and support dedicated to all recognized graduate student organizations (GSOs). The total amount allocated to AGSUSF Support Services for 2026–27 is $38,463. 

Graduate Student Senate

Graduate Student Senate is the graduate student government organization that strives to meet the diverse needs of graduate students and encourage academic, professional, and personal growth while building community.
