Important: The Benefits Team only determines eligibility and processes the setting up of your Edenred account. You are responsible for placing/managing your order. If you experience any issues with your order, please contact Edenred and/or Clipper directly, as applicable.

Please carefully read all details:

  • The purpose of the commuter subsidy is to use the funds for the semester in which the funds are received. The subsidy is to help you pay for your commuting costs during the semester in which you are teaching.
  • You must log in to your Edenred account and place your order. (If you have never registered or logged in before, you will need to create an account. Instructions are provided in the email announcement, which is sent out at the beginning of the semester).
  • Confirm you are registering a valid Clipper card. It is advisable to review your Clipper account to ensure you have the correct card number. Both Clipper and Edenred must have the same Clipper number to process correctly. Providing an invalid Clipper card number will result in no order being processed.
  • You are responsible for managing your Edenred account. This means you must place, change, or cancel your order by the specified deadline.
  • Clipper Cards can only hold a maximum of $300; if a card has an existing balance of more than $90, the $210 subsidy for the fall and spring semesters will not load until the existing balance is spent.
  • NOTE: If the Clipper Card is inactive for 6 months, the subsidy funds will no longer be available. There are no prorated or retroactive subsidies.

If you have any issues creating an Edenred account, logging in, or placing an order, please email the Benefits team at benefits@usfca.edu or call us at (415) 422-2442.

If you have questions about an existing order, please contact Edenred Customer Service at (888) 235-9223.
