Dear Members of the USF Community:
There are wildfires burning in Northern California and San Francisco is on alert. While USF’s San Francisco campuses and additional campuses in Sacramento, San Jose, Santa Rosa, and Orange County are not affected at this time, conditions can change quickly in wildfire situations, and we want you to be aware of how we are monitoring and preparing.
We continue to adhere to our Wildfire Air Quality Policy. If the air quality index (AQI) in San Francisco exceeds 100, we will activate our Emergency Operations Center and any decisions regarding cancellations or schedule changes will be communicated to the community using our emergency notification system, Dons Alert.
We have sufficient supplies of N95 respirators and KN95 masks to distribute to students and employees if and when the AQI reaches unsafe levels. If needed, N95 respirators and KN95 masks are available at Gleeson Library, Zief Law Library, and Koret Health and Recreation Center.
If classes are canceled, the university will continue to operate; residence halls and dining halls will be open and staffed.
We will keep all members of the community informed of changes to schedules or operations through Dons Alert, email, social media, and other means of communication.
Please ensure that you are signed up to receive Dons Alert messages and that your contact information is up to date. Sign up for Dons Alert »
