Welcome from the Dean of Student Academic Services - Spring 2026

Welcome to 2026! CASA continues to follow our core mission of providing compassionate academic and personal support to all undergraduate students. CASA Academic Success Coaches are professional staff here to support your academic journey and make sure you are connected to any resources you may need along the way. You can find your assigned CASA Coach in the Student Hub under “Success Team,” which is also where you can make a one-on-one appointment with your assigned CASA Coach.

We are excited to introduce a new staff member to the community: Andrea Guerra. Andrea is a graduate of UC Merced and has a master’s degree from UC Santa Barbara. She is excited to join the CASA Team as our Program Assistant.

CASA provides various appointment options for students, including in person, online, and by phone. Students can schedule appointments with their academic success coach in the Student Hub or by calling (415) 422-5050. We also offer online drop-in hours daily, where students can meet with any academic success coach — no appointment necessary!

In addition, in-person drop-ins in the CASA office (UC third floor) are held twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. During the first week of classes (January 26-30) and registration week (April 20-23), drop-ins are available daily from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Come stop by!

Prior to Registration Week in April, you should also check your USF email regularly for communication from your major department regarding their advising process and how to remove any advising holds. Please be sure to review your degree evaluation and check-in with your major adviser in your school/college prior to registration for fall 2026.
