Arming and Disarming Your Keypad
USF administers two brands of keypads, Ademco and Bosch. Both are advanced devices that offer features not available with other systems: They are highly visible, are black-lit, and have built-in sounders that alert individuals to events.
Arming Your Ademco Keypad
To arm your Ademco keypad (or to turn your system on):
- Make sure that all doors and windows are shut and there is no motion in the alarmed area
- Enter your 4-digit passcode and press 2 (or AWAY)
- The keypad will beep twice and display the exit message, indicating that you have 60 seconds to leave
To disarm your Ademco keypad (or turn your system off):
- Enter your 4-digit passcode and press 1 (or OFF)
- The keypad will beep once and display the disarmed message
Arming Your Bosch Keypad
To arm your Bosch keypad (or to turn your system on):
- Make sure that all doors and windows are shut and there is no motion in the alarmed area
- Enter your 6-digit passcode and press ENT
- The keypad will briefly display the exit message and a delay tone will begin, indicating that you have 60 seconds to leave
To disarm your Bosch Keypad (or to turn your system off):
- Enter your 6-digit passcode and press ENT (you have 8 seconds to enter your code)
- The keypad will then display the disarmed message
When either the Ademco or Bosch system is turned on, if you fail to disarm the system before the entry-delay time expires, you will cause an alarm. If this happens, silence the alarm by disarming it; then call Public Safety at 415-422-4201, to notify them that you are not in an emergency situation.
