Below you will find a tentative Family Second-Year Welcome Week schedule.

Saturday, August 14

Move-In Day* | 10 AM - 4 PM | Various Residence Halls | Welcome to USF! You should have received an assigned check-in/move-in time before your arrival. Look for the Get Oriented (GO) Team in green shirts to help guide you throughout the week. |
USF Bookstore* | 10 AM - 5 PM | University Center, First Floor | More than just textbooks and sweatshirts, find everything you need for your class, your dorm, or for showing off your Dons’ pride! |
Campus Tours* | 1 - 4 PM | Meet at University Center, First Floor | New to USF? Let our GO Team leaders show you around USF! No RSVP is required. |
Dinner (On Your Own) | 4 - 6 PM | Various On-Campus Dining Options | Enjoy this free time to take a break, grab dinner, and get to know other students and family members. |
Welcome & Pinning Ceremony (Due to COVID restrictions, students only in the church) |

Students will join their peers for an official SYWW Welcome! We will take a moment to celebrate your accomplishments and journey to get to USF. In addition, students will learn the USF pledge and receive a commemorative pin designed for their class. This event will be livestreamed. |
Family Social | 6:30 - 8 PM | Lone Mountain East Paseo | Come be in community with second-year families and engage with USF community members. Refreshments will be provided. |

Family Welcome Mass* | 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM | St. Ignatius Church | Members of any or no religious affiliation are invited to join USF President Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J., at this special welcome Mass. Open to all students and families, attendance encouraged but not required. |

Learn about the international education programs available to you as an undergrad at USF and learn about the application process for second-year students! USF's Center for Global Education has sponsored programs in over 100 programs in over 40 different countries. All USF students who are applying to study abroad for Fall 2022 and/or Spring 2023 must pre-apply by December 10, 2021. |
Workshop #2 - Career Services |

Come learn about resources on campus available to you and your student to help maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle at USF. You will meet representatives from the following offices: Office of the Dean of Students, Office of Community Living, Department of Public Safety, Health Promotion Services (HPS), and the Office of Student Conduct, Rights and Responsibilities (OSCRR). |
Workshop #4 - Academic Success Is Yours |

Learn how to support your student's academic excellence. The Center for Academic and Student Achievement (CASA), Student Disability Services (SDS), University Registrar, and the Learning, Writing and Speaking Centers (LWSC) will offer insight on how students can take advantage of resources at USF to develop helpful habits, lower their stress, and meet all of their academic goals. You'll also learn about the privacy of your student's records and what you need to know about FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act). |
Workshop #5 - Coming to Campus During the Pandemic |

In this session, we will discuss ways of dealing with the lifestyle changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as other aspects of adjusting to college. We will provide resources and practical coping tools. |

5 - 7 PM | Various On-Campus Dining Options | Can you believe the weekend is already over? Use this time to grab dinner, connect with your student, create a communication plan, and make sure they are all set for the week ahead. |
