Surrounding the start of classes will be USF's Weeks of Welcome, or WOW.

  • The first two weeks of class are called Weeks of Welcome (WOW), packed with programs, events, and services.
  • WOW serves as an extended orientation and helps new students get involved, find community, and learn more about the opportunities and resources at USF.

Join us for a virtual information session about USF's Short-Term Immersion Program in Salzburg, Austria.

Learn how this unique program allows participants to develop a better understanding of the processes and effects of becoming a global citizen.  Students will explore pressing issues of global concern from a variety of perspectives. With special attention to the political, economic and cultural history of globalization and its impact across the globe. Lastly, the sessions will formally address issues related to global responsibility, humanitarian intervention, social justice, and sustainable development. Session Two: Grabs & Go Basics of Escaping/Removing Grabs, Chokes, & Holds

This session will cover essential techniques for escaping physical grabs from standing, sitting, and lying positions, while also being comfortable in close proximity to an assailant. Registration is required.

Intramural Kickoff: Pickleball Tournament 7 - 9:30 PM Koret Rec Center, Swig Court #3 Come kickoff another semester of Intramurals by playing in a pickleball tournament! No fee required! Dr. Mohammad Subeh is an Emergency Physician and Traumatologist with over a decade of humanitarian work delivering critical, time-sensitive healthcare in low resource environments. Recently, he served on multiple medical missions to Gaza during the Gaza genocide establishing field hospitals in Rafah and Deir Al-Balah, and recently returned from a medical mission in southern Lebanon. With the current collapse of the Gazan healthcare system, his status update on the situation on the ground is vital.
