Student Organizations on Student Hub
Over the last year, Student Leadership and Engagement has worked with ITS to develop a new component on the Student Hub specifically for student organizations. We hope that this will provide students with easier access to involvement opportunities that will support and enhance their experience at USF.
You can access the Student Hub here using your USF login credentials.

Student Hub allows you to search for student organizations by name or keywords.
- On the homepage of the Student Hub, navigate to the left hand side
- At the bottom of the menu, you will see the Student Organizations link
- Click on the Student Organizations link
- There will be a section with a search function on the right hand side
- Enter a keyword(s) that you would like to search by
- All student organizations with the word(s) in the name and/or description will populate
- Click on the student organization of your choice to view its portal
Student Hub allows you to browse all student organizations by category.
- On the homepage of the Student Hub, navigate to the left hand side
- At the bottom of the menu, you will see the Student Organizations link
- Click on the Student Organizations link
- On the lower right hand side there is a section with the title “Browse by Category”
- Click on the category you are interested in browsing through and scroll to see the list of associated student organizations
- Click on the student organization of your choice to view its portal
Each student organization portal will include important information about the group.
- Once you find a student organization that you are interested in via the search or browse functions, click on the student organization’s name to open its portal
- On the top portion of the portal, you will find the student organization’s social media links, website, contact email, and meeting times/locations
- On the right side of the portal, you will find the student organization’s mission/description
- Under the social media links and contact information, you will find a “Public Announcements” link which will show you any announcements the organization has made
In the Student Hub, you’ll be able to follow student organizations. This will allow you to stay up to date with what the organization is doing without having to commit to membership. When student organizations you follow post public announcements, they will show up on your feed.
- Once you find a student organization that you are interested in via the search or browse functions, click on the student organization’s name to open its portal
- On the student organization’s portal, you will see a green button that says “Follow” under the student organization’s name
- Click the green “Follow” button
Once you’ve decided to seek membership in an organization, you can submit a request to join via Student Hub.
- Once you find a student organization that you are interested in via the search or browse functions, click on the student organization’s name to open its portal
- On the student organization’s portal, you will see a green button that says “Join” under the student organization’s name
- Click the green “Join” button
- The student organization executives will review your request and approve based on their membership criteria
Each student organization portal has a discussion feed that all members can post in. Members can comment on and like all posts within this feed.
- On the student organization’s portal, towards the middle of the page under the student organization’s logo, you’ll find the discussion feed
- There are three different kinds of contributions you can make–post, poll, or question
- Choose the type of contribution you’d like to make and complete your entry
If you come across a post in your student organization’s feed that is inappropriate, you have the option to flag it. Student Leadership and Engagement will be monitoring all flagged posts and do the appropriate follow-up.
- Navigate to the post that you would like to flag
- Click on the small arrow to the right of the name of the person who made the post
- Click on “Flag”
You are able to delete a post you made on the discussion feed.
- Navigate to the post that you would like to delete
- Click on the small arrow to the right of the name of the person who made the post
- Click on “Delete”
As a member of a student organization, you will receive weekly digest emails with details on updates made, discussion feed contributions, etc. You are able to change the frequency of these emails.
- On the student organization’s portal, under the group details box, there will be a button that says “Manage Notifications”
- Click on the “Manage Notifications” button and select your preferred frequency of digest emails
