Interested in sponsoring a project for one of our Senior or Master's project classes?

Sponsored projects give students a chance to gain real-world experience by working with companies on a clearly scoped project.
These projects provides students with:
- Real-life experience working with a project sponsor
- Guidance from a USF professor on a technical approach
Companies that sponsor projects will gain:
- A project that can become a proof of concept done at no cost
- Interaction with students that can help with internship and job recruitment
These projects are taken on by our CS 490 and CS 690 classes. Each class is taught by a professor who guides the students throughout the semester. There are typically 2-4 students per project.
- CS 490 - Senior Undergraduate Computer Science Students
- CS 690 - Senior Graduate Computer Science Students
As a project sponsor you will...
- Provide a project for the students to work on over the course of the semester
- Provide a representative to guide/interact with your student team (1 hour per week, online or in-person)
- Be available to answer questions about the project
- Provide access to resources needed to complete the project
- Participate in the final presentation of the project with students
Project classes are offered in the Spring and Fall semesters
Project submissions from sponsors are due 3 weeks before the beginning of the semester
Early to mid January for the Spring semester
Early August for Fall semester
Each semester is 15 weeks
- Sponsor will own the IP of anything that is developed by the students
- Any data provided by the sponsor should be anonymous and not contain sensitive information
