""A light-skinned woman in a grey blazer and black framed glasses is holding her arms together to take a selfie. She is also wearing a badge that says 'she' and 'her' over each other. She has medium length straight medium brown hair. She is wearing silver hoop earrings and has a black lanyard on her neck."Graduate Student Career Counselor

Favorite Places in the City
Dog and people watching on a sunny day in The Embarcadero, walking through SF Botanical Garden -- and any place I can catch a view of the fog rolling through this beautiful city!

Hobbies/Interests
Music, podcasts, plants and gardens, travel, languages, cooking, and reading! A few fun facts: I have more than 80 houseplants, and I've been to 18 different countries.

First Internship/job
I thought I wanted to be a lawyer, so my first internship was at a law office. It didn't take long to realize that wasn't the right vibe for me--but that early experience sparked a curiosity to explore what was. Along the way, I discovered it's less about finding "the perfect job" and more about uncovering what energizes you and supports your growth as a human.

Best Piece of Career Advice I received
When exploring graduate programs in career counseling, I reached out to Dr. Al Levin to see if CSU Sacramento’s program aligned with my background in recruiting and sales. He encouraged me to apply and emphasized that trying something new is part of creating opportunity—a core idea in his Planned Happenstance Theory. That philosophy, captured in his book Luck Is No Accident, now shapes how I guide others in their own career journeys.
