Guest Speakers

If faculty wish to invite a guest speaker for a lecture, a presentation, etc., they must obtain approval from the Department Chairperson or Program Coordinator at least four to six weeks prior to the presentation.


Once approval is granted by the Department Chair or Program Coordinator, a Speaker Agreement and Request for Honorarium form should be submitted for Department Chair and Dean signatures.  Please find these at the Faculty Forms link.

Submitting this paperwork to the Dean’s office will ensure the timely processing of paperwork (e.g., required W-9 form for first-time recipients) and compensation of the guest speaker.


The amount of the honorarium varies between $50 to $200. Please note that honoraria for staff or faculty already on the USF payroll will be processed through payroll.
