USF Policies

Like all universities, USF is marked by a variety of policies and external constraints that transcend and/or take precedence over individual policies or protocols in individual Schools or Colleges of the University. Many of the references to publications identifying policies that fall in this domain are cited in other components of this handbook (e.g., USF-USFFA Collective Bargaining Agreement). Along with the new items that derive from legal constraints, this section also identifies those elements of University-wide policy about which the Dean’s Office often receives inquiries (e.g., tenure and promotion, personnel benefits).

Indeed, a wide range of activities are governed by University regulations; the School does not have a unilateral ability to change these policies or protocols. These policies or protocols are mentioned hereafter.
