Financial Reporting

Financial Reporting, under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Accounting & Business Services, is responsible for:

  • Annual Financial Report Preparation: Compiles the University’s annual Financial Report by reviewing and reconciling all account balances and activities throughout the fiscal year. This process involves communicating with business managers and other financial staff across the University to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Financial Statement. The Department also coordinates the annual audit conducted by the University’s independent auditors, serving as the primary liaison between the auditors and the University’s financial staff.
  • Report Preparation for External Stakeholders: Generates various reports for donors, grantors, and other outside agencies. Additionally, The Department provides financial information to other University departments upon request.
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting Support: Researches and resolves accounting and financial reporting issues, including analyzing the impact of new accounting guidance on the University. It serves as a resource for business managers and other financial staff who seek assistance with accounting issues affecting financial reporting.
