University Career Conference: Launch Your Finance Career
Saturday, September 26, 2026
10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
AssetMark | Concord, CA
Registration is free
This year’s program is built around three of the biggest questions students face when preparing for a career in finance:
Building Your Credentials: Designations, Degrees, and Licenses
Students will explore how professional designations, graduate degrees, and securities licenses fit into different career paths—including designation stacking, the MBA versus CFA Program decision, and how AI is changing professional education.
Finding Your Path: Finance Careers, Internships, and Emerging Opportunities
Professionals will introduce students to career paths across finance and investments, discuss internships and entry-level roles, and explore emerging opportunities created by AI and technology.
How to Stand Out: Recruiting and Networking Tips
Recruiters and finance professionals will share what employers look for in early-career candidates, along with practical guidance on networking, LinkedIn, interviewing, career readiness, and responsible use of AI during the job search.
Students will also have dedicated Q&A and networking time after each session, plus a structured lunch program where speakers and finance professionals rotate among tables for small-group conversations.
Register Individually or Bring a Group
Faculty may register themselves and their students, or students may register individually. We encourage you to share the event with your classes, finance and investment clubs, internship programs, career centers, and other students considering careers in finance.
