Graduation Ceremonies
The School of Education graduation ceremony is held once each year in May in Saint Ignatius Church (on the Hilltop campus). Master’s students expecting to complete their degree in August are invited to the May ceremony and have their degree posted in August. Master's degrees are posted in May, August and December. However, doctoral degrees are posted only in May and December.
Petition to Graduate
Faculty may need to remind students that they need to petition to graduate (deadlines: September 1st for December graduation and February 1st for May graduation).
Petition Forms
Petition forms are available on-line from the Registrar’s Office.
Faculty Attendance
As a faculty member, SOE invites you to join the commencement activities by sitting on stage with other SOE Faculty. Tickets are not required for this, but arrangements must be made with the Dean’s Office. Prior to each graduation you will be emailed an invitation to participate. Once space is confirmed, the Graduation Center will email further instructions for participating in the ceremony. Please note: As space is limited, only students are provided with tickets to attend the ceremony as general audience members. Faculty are not provided tickets.
