Peer Health Educator Bio

Esmeralda Felix is a first-generation graduate student attending college. She works as an Activities Assistant and enjoys helping and motivating seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease to participate in daily activities. Esmeralda has volunteered at a non-profit organization where she discussed services and the importance of hospice care. She advocates for mental health because it is a serious public health concern that needs to be addressed. She watches baseball (Oakland Athletics) in her spare time, goes to casinos with her family, and takes care of her three dogs.
