Outreach Programs and Services
Throughout the academic year, we plan numerous outreach events that promote optimal health and well-being through prevention, stress management, nutrition and physical activity, drug and alcohol prevention and education, healthy relationships, and access to healthcare.
Virtual Fall Events
We have a whole lineup of virtual health and wellness events below:
Fall Health Fair
Join us on October 15th from 11 am-1 pm.
Zoom by anytime during our event, but the first 150 students to register and attend will be given a FREE GIVEAWAY! Others will be entered into a raffle to win gift cards and other swag. Meet with our partners, such as Aetna, Institute of Aging, California Health Collaborative, and Project Open Hand, to learn about opportunities you can take advantage of!
Random Acts of Wellness
Join us on October 22nd from 11:45 am-12:45 pm. (More dates to be provided)
With COVID-19 changing the way we live, Random Acts of Wellness hopes to bring students closer to their wellness goals as they navigate this new normal. In the fall semester, we will offer virtual Random Acts of Wellness to provide a space for students to de-stress, learn new ways to practice wellness and provide tips to improve their health.
Join us on October 13th from 11:45 am-12:45 pm. (More dates to be provided)
During this time of remote learning and working, we must learn to become adaptable in our new environments and surroundings. In this workshop, you will learn the 6 Essentials Actions (R.E.M.O.T.E.) for thriving in our new environments, how to use adversity to your advantage, how to focus on your “controllable” and how to avoid the negative hypothetical traps.
Road to Resilience
Join us on October 28th from 11:45 am-12:45 pm. (More dates to be provided)
A person who is resilient has the ability to succeed in the day-to-day demands of school, work, and relationships. Physical, mental, emotional, and social resiliencies are the 4 different types discussed during this virtual workshop. Come learn ways to implement at least one type of resiliency for daily living.
Join us on September 30th from 1 pm-1:45 pm. (More dates to be provided)
It is essential for all students to have a clear understanding of how to access health services while at USF. Our office offers several "Health Care 101" workshops throughout the academic year in order to provide students with information on how to obtain care while away from home.
