Performance Management
As part of the University’s overall Performance Management Program for non-union employees and OPE staff, the formal performance appraisal is a summary of the year-long communication between employees and supervisors. The University requires performance appraisals to take place on an annual basis as an employment requirement. Effective with the 2022 appraisal period, all OPE and non-union employee appraisals will be completed in the USFWorks platform.
- OPE members who were hired after Nov. 1, 2022 will not receive an evaluation.
- Non-Union staff will be sent an evaluation regardless of hire date, but will be instructed to enter n/a for sections 1 and 2 if they were hired after Oct. 1, 2022.
Important: Employees who have already completed a performance appraisal for the 2022 calendar year will not be required to complete it again but will be required to complete their appraisal in USFWorks beginning with the 2023 calendar year review period.
Please Note: Eligibility - Annual Merit Increase
Eligibility to receive the Annual Merit Increase requires that you complete the performance appraisal process for yourself and (if applicable) for your direct reports. This means completing your self-appraisal and reviews for your direct reports, ensuring that they have finished the entire review cycle and that you've completed your 1:1 meeting with them. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
