2023 Performance Reviews

As part of the University’s overall Performance Management Program for non-union employees and OPE staff, the formal performance appraisal is a summary of the year-long communication between employees and supervisors. The University requires performance appraisals to take place on an annual basis as an employment requirement.

The non-union staff appraisal period will begin on Jan. 3, 2024. The OPE appraisal period will begin on March 11, 2024.

2023 Non-union staff appraisal period:

  • Jan. 3–17: Employee completes self-evaluation.
  • Jan. 18 – Feb. 8: Manager completes employee evaluation.
  • Feb. 9–23: Manager’s manager reviews and signs the evaluation.
  • Feb. 26 – March 8: Manager meets with employee to review appraisal and complete signatures.

Please Note:  Eligibility - Annual Merit Increase

Eligibility to receive an Annual Merit Increase requires that you complete the performance appraisal process for yourself and (if applicable) for your direct reports.  This means completing your self-appraisal and reviews for your direct reports, ensuring that they have finished the entire review cycle and that you've completed your 1:1 meeting with them. There will be no exceptions to this policy.

Those employees who receive a Needs Development rating will not be eligible to receive an Annual Merit Increase.
