Summer in the Bay

New Student & Family Programs is excited to welcome students and their family members to campus for Summer in the Bay.
Our one-day in-person program is excellent for students and families who want to see our campus and make connections before starting in August. It is open to all new first-year and transfer students and their family members. The Summer in the Bay registration will close on Wednesday, June 25.
Attending Summer in the Bay provides new students and family members the opportunity to:
- Meet new incoming students and families
- Connect with staff, faculty, and academic advisors in person
- Hear from Orientation Leaders about their experiences at USF
- Get a feel of what campus is like and what you will be joining in your new semester
- Explore our San Francisco community

University Welcome & Professor's Perspective | 11 AM - 12 PM | McLaren Conference Center, Room 250 & 251 | Join our Orientation staff and university leaders as we welcome you and your family to campus. Get a glimpse into life in the USF classroom, hear directly from faculty, and gain valuable tips to help you thrive academically and make the most of your college experience. |
Family & Student Luncheon | 12 - 1 PM | McLaren Conference Center, Room 250, 251, and 252 | We know you have questions about what to expect this fall. Join current students and staff as they share insights on student services, campus safety, student life, residence life, athletics, student success, and more. |
Campus & Residence Hall Tours | 1 - 2:30 PM | Meet in McLaren Conference Center Lobby | Experience our USF campus firsthand as our enthusiastic GO Team leaders guide you through informative tours. Join us every 15 minutes to discover the perfect starting point for new students and their families. |

Spend your afternoon exploring one of San Francisco’s top attractions! Located just 10 minutes from USF in beautiful Golden Gate Park, the California Academy of Sciences features hands-on exhibits, an indoor rainforest, and stunning displays of the natural world. |
