- Special interest organizations cater to niche hobbies, passions, or themes, offering members opportunities to explore, share, and develop their interests through events, workshops, and community engagement tailored to their unique focus.
Through education, research, advocacy, and a focus on underrepresented populations (ages 14-25), “Active Minds opens up the conversation about mental health and creates lasting change in the way mental health is talked about, cared for, and valued in the United States. This organization has a purpose to reconnect incarcerated and previously incarcerated individuals with their society, fight for justice in the criminal justice system, and reform the American prison system.
Alpha Phi Omega is a national, co-educational service fraternity – college students gathered together in an organization based on fraternalism and founded on the principles of the Boy Scouts of America. Its purpose is to develop leadership, promote friendship and provide service to humanity.
The goal of ACV is to provide students with a chance to share an interest with other students over cultural media of many different national originas and spread a love for that culture. We host video game tournaments, music nights (ie K-POP & J-POP), and watch cultural shows like Anime together.

The Hive Minders club focuses on honey bees and has the purpose of educating and raising awareness about the importance of pollinators (not limited to honey bees) in our ecosystem and promoting their conservation. Members of the club typically engage in activities such as learning about the biology and behavior of honey bees, understanding the challenges that honey bees face, and advocating for the protection of pollinator habitats. We may also participate in activities such as setting up and maintaining bee colonies, harvesting honey, and sharing their knowledge with others in their community. By promoting the importance of bees and their role in the ecosystem. The Hive Minders club can help to ensure the long-term survival of these critical pollinators.
IGNITE is an undergraduate student organization that is a movement of young women who are ready and eager to become the next generation of political leaders.
Kesem is a national non-profit that supports children through and beyond a parent's cancer diagnosis with the vision of ensuring that every child impacted is never alone. Each chapter fundraises throughout the year to host Kesem's flagship program, Camp Kesem, a week-long, sleep-away summer camp.
The purpose of this organization is to foster a safe, friendly, and open space for Korean/Korean American students, or anyone interested in appreciating the culture, to find community within this culture during their time at university. This will be a space that harbors warm and casual conversations, community outings, and bonding events, as well as outreach to connect, volunteer for, and generally build community with fellow Korean organizations in San Francisco. “Mansae” is a Korean word most typically used to celebrate, which is exactly what this organization is for; celebrating the Korean and Korean American community in San Francisco and on campus.

Narcare is a student-led nonprofit and official chapter of the national Narcare organization, dedicated to combating the opioid crisis through harm reduction, education, and community empowerment. Focused on public health advocacy, Narcare raises awareness about the dangers of opioid misuse, particularly fentanyl, and provides life-saving tools like naloxone (Narcan) to vulnerable populations. Through educational events, outreach, and local partnerships, we empower students to reduce stigma, advocate for evidence-based solutions, and support underserved communities. Guided by the values of compassion, responsibility, accessibility, and social justice, Narcare fosters a proactive campus culture committed to health equity.

P.A.W.S. aims to raise awareness of the injustices of animal cruelty. Our members must be committed to bringing forth the issues of animal welfare and spreading this idea to the rest of our USF community. We also work to rescue animals from abuse and share our resources with local bay area shelters.
