- Note on course drop deadlines: "Census day" is the deadline to drop full semester classes. Note that many of our courses are half-length, ending halfway through the semester or beginning halfway into it. For instance, in fall, these courses typically conclude or start in mid-October, and in spring the change occurs in mid-March. For these courses the deadline to drop the course and receive a tuition refund is usually a day or two after the first class. Thus, the deadline for dropping courses may be more than week before the official Census Date usually mentioned in communications from the University.
