The Language and Culture Center
The University of San Francisco created the Language and Culture Center (LCC) Writing Center to supplement Modern and Classical Language coursework and further assist students in their French, Japanese or Spanish writing skills.
Our team fosters creativity and student engagement with the cultural and social issues of the countries from which languages are taught in the University.
Feeling stuck or stumped on an MCL writing assignment? Check out our Writing Centers to learn how to set up a one-on-one appointment.
The Language and Culture Center (LCC) Resource Room, located on the ground floor of Cowell Hall G02, provides assistance to students, tutors, and faculty with media requests for all 13 languages offered by Modern Classical Languages (MCL).
Cowell Hall G24
Mon.–Thu. 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Fri. 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Students can access material in Gleeson Library or contact the language coordinator. MCL tutors can borrow specific media assigned to them by their faculty. Walk-ins are welcomed, but reservations are preferred. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in advance so that we have time to prepare the resources you need.
Gleeson Library media reservations made by Faculty will be put on hold for short-term sign outs. Please contact Gleeson Library Reserves in advance to ensure your titles are not checked out as there may be multiple requests made during the semester. Students can also search the library for titles available that have been put on reserve by faculty.
Tutoring textbooks for tutors can be borrowed during the semester from the MCL offices.
Mobile Computer Classroom
Mobile classroom reservations will be available February 1, 2019 by arrangement. Please contact email@example.com for additional information.
