COVID-19 Resources

We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our students and staff/faculty as we navigate COVID-19 on our USF campus. Visit USF Together for more COVID guidance, the latest news on updates, policies, and resources to stay safe and informed.

COVID-19 Vaccine

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are available to all individuals. To schedule an appointment to receive your initial vaccine and/or booster, please visit the following vaccine site location near you.

Vaccination Requirements

The University of San Francisco will require all undergraduate and graduate students to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. The deadline for new incoming students is January 15, 2023.

As of January 5, 2022, COVID-19 boosters will be required for all students when they are eligible. Students must upload their updated vaccination information to Med Proctor when they receive their booster. If you already received a university-approved vaccination exemption for your initial COVID-19 vaccines, this new requirement does not apply to you. If you are unable to get a booster prior to returning to USF, you will be able to receive it at the immunization clinic on campus or through the USF Student Health Clinic.

If you have received your COVID-19 vaccine, either dose 1 and/or 2, and booster please upload all vaccine results to Med+ProctorPlease note: Students only need to provide their USF email, student ID and name to create their account. After registering your information and completing your free online profile, you may choose to pay an optional one-time fee of $10 for membership benefits, but it is not required.

    All Nursing Students

Due to the supplementary immunization requirements of clinical sites, nursing students are expected to submit their immunization records to the School of Nursing and Health Professions (SONHP) through CastleBranch, rather than Health Promotion Services. COVID-19 vaccine records still must be submitted through Med+Proctor.
Please note that degree completion may be slowed or stopped if SONHP students are unable and/or unwilling to be vaccinated, given the requirements of our clinical partners.

    COVID-19 Exemptions

With proper documentation, USF will accept medical and religious beliefs exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccine or booster requirement. Medical exemption requires a letter from a health care provider stating that the immunization is medically contraindicated. Religious beliefs exemptions will be accepted for the COVID-19 vaccine or booster (and no other USF required immunizations). Once exemptions are submitted, they will be reviewed and the student will be notified if it's approved or not for the 2022-2023 academic year. If approved, students will be required to complete weekly testing through USF and any residential student upon arrival will be required to complete a five day quarantine prior to moving into their assigned residential space and/or engaging in any in-person activities on campus.

*Nursing students, please note that degree completion may be slowed or stopped if SONHP students are unable and/or unwilling to be vaccinated, given the requirements of our clinical partners. Please contact nursing@usfca.edu if you have any questions.

If you'd like an exemption form please email the Director of Health Promotion Services, Natalie Macias at nrmacias@usfca.edu to request the appropriate exemption form.
