USF Required Training
USF requires all new hires to complete four trainings upon hire: Anti-Harassment, IT Security Awareness, Workplace Violence Prevention, and Title lX. We also ask all new hires to complete the optional Managing Bias course.
NOTE: If you participate, or will participate, in the pre-employement process/hiring, you also need to take the HR Hiring Guidelines Training.
University policy requires that full-time and part-time faculty and staff complete anti-harassment training within thirty days of their date of hire and every two years thereafter. The course may be accessed in USFWorks in the Learning app. Review the Learning app job aid to learn how to register for courses.
Please contact Mara Krasts with any course questions.
All USF staff, faculty, and affiliates are required to complete Information Security Awareness - Basic Training. The course is housed within Canvas and refresh training occurs every two (2) years.
University policy requires that all staff, faculty and librarians complete this course annually. This training is part of the University's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan. The training will be available in the Learning app in USFWorks on July 1, 2024. Review the job aid to learn more about navigating the app.
This training will guide you in making the best hiring decisions possible and support your compliance with USF's vision, mission, and values, policy and procedures, and the employment laws that govern the university's recruitment and hiring activities.
You can enroll in this course via the Workday Learning app. Review the job aid to learn more about navigating the Learning app.
This optional training is approximately 30 minutes long. Understanding bias in the workplace is the first step to managing it. This course defines bias, describes how it affects the workplace, and encourages learners to use that knowledge to reduce the negative effects of bias.
All staff, faculty, and librarians can access the course in USFWorks.
