USF Required Training
USF requires all new hires to complete three trainings upon hire: Anti-Harassment, IT Security Awareness, and Title lX. We also ask all new hires to complete the optional Managing Bias course.
University policy requires that full-time and part-time faculty and staff complete anti-harassment training within the first three months after their date of hire and every two years thereafter. The course may be accessed here.
Please contact Mara Krasts with any course questions.
University policy requires that all full-time and part-time faculty and staff complete annual Title IX training.
All USF staff, faculty, and affiliates are required to complete Information Security Awareness - Basic Training. The course is housed within Canvas and refresh training occurs every two (2) years.
This optional training is approximately 20 minutes long and will be open until the end of the 2022/2023 academic year, giving employees plenty of time to take it at their leisure. Understanding bias in the workplace is the first step to managing it. This course defines bias, describes how it affects the workplace, and encourages learners to use that knowledge to reduce the negative effects of bias.
All staff, faculty, and librarians can access the course here using single-sign on.
