The UndocuAlly training is an annual training hosted by the Task Force. The training is an interactive and engaging workshop designed for USF staff and faculty focused on how we can better support and serve undocumented students on campus.

The Undocu-Student & Staff Peer Network is for undocumented students and staff who self-identify as DACAmented, DREAMers, AB540, and TPS immigrants. The purpose of the network is to build community and to connect with peers.

To learn more about the network, contact the student organizers at undocudons@usfca.edu.

If you are continuing undocumented student and need support in securing on-campus housing, you can reach out to the Senior Director, Torry Brouillard-Bruce. If you do not feel comfortable reaching out to Torry you can notify a ADEI staff or Task Force member of your need and they can forward your name along. Torry has assured that he will keep students' status confidential and will submit names along with other students who have been approved for priority housing. That list includes no information about why students on the list are approved for priority housing.

Those with priority status are the first groups of students who have access to select open beds. This process does not guarantee students a specific space or a specific set of roommates but gets students into the system first and guarantee there will be space available for those in the priority group.

Contact Torrey Brouillard-Bruce at tbrouillard@usfca.edu or (415) 422-6824.

Professor Bill Hing and USF School of Law students present a Know Your Rights training for USF staff, students, and faculty at a variety of events, meetings, and gatherings on campus.

If you would like to have a Know Your Rights training at your next event, contact the ADEI office at (415) 422-2821 or diversity@usfca.edu for more information.

The following protocol is intended to be a guide for assisting members of the USF community in responding to inquiries or visits from officials representing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or another police or government agency.

If an ICE agent (or anyone) asks a university employee for access to the campus or student information:

1.  Inform the ICE agent that all agency inquiries – including ICE requests for directory information – are processed through the Department of Public Safety and Office of General Counsel. Public Safety is located on UC fifth floor. The phone numbers are (415) 422-4201 (non-emergency), (415) 422-2911 (emergency). No employee under any circumstances should share information about a student.

2.  The director of Public Safety (or highest-ranking member on site) will take the inquiring agent’s name, badge number, phone number, the name and phone number of the agent’s supervisor, and copies of the warrants and/or subpoena. This information is then forwarded to the university’s general counsel.

3.  The director will not share any student information unless compelled to by a signed court order or a verified claim of imminent danger to public safety, and this will be done in consultation with legal counsel.

4.  The director will personally escort the agent off campus and notify the Office of General Counsel. Staff in public safety and the general counsel’s office are all fully trained in protocols and procedures, and are committed to the protection and safety of our students and staff.

If you have any questions at any time, please call the Dean of Students Office at (415) 422-5330.

The Cultural Centers include the Gender & Sexuality Center and the Intercultural Center. The centers serve as both physical spaces on campus where students build community, and as outlets for student-run programs that explore social issues and identity.

The Cultural Centers bring students together to increase their understanding, and embrace their roles, as members of a diverse community on the local and global levels.

To learn about the Cultural Centers' programming and how to get involved, visit the Cultural Centers page.

The mission of the University Ministry (UM) is to support the spiritual, religious and pastoral needs of the USF community. They enrich the USF experience by creating communities grounded in Ignatian spirituality and the Jesuit Catholic mission of USF. UM programs and services encourage USF students, faculty, staff and alumni of all religious backgrounds or none, to connect their faith, spirituality and values with an active engagement in the world, especially with economically poor and systematically oppressed communities, in order to realize the fullness of their humanity, and lead lives of meaning and purpose.

To learn about the UM's programming and events, contact Associate Director for Immersions, Kique Bázan at lebazan@usfca.edu or (415) 422-2708.
